  1. Discovery Senior Living is hiring a Central Billing Supervisor to join our team in Dallas, TX. 
  2. This is a full-time, in-person position scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. 4 days office / 1 day home

POSITION SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for coordination and management of the centralized billing system for Discovery Senior Living managed communities. Responsible for generating resident billing in a timely and accurate manner.   Supervises billing team members.  This position will be based in Dallas TX.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establishes and implements policies, procedures and tracking systems for resident billing.
  • Oversees the day-to-day functions of the billing department which consists of monitoring team members, accuracy of charge submission and processing.
  • Review and update existing standards, policies and processes to create an environment of continuous improvement in order to promote more effective collection of the company’s accounts receivable.
  • Develops and instituting a team quality assurance program including quantitative performance measurements, specifically, KPI’s.
  • Prepares and submits reports to management upon request.
  • Determines staff levels to meet work volume demands.
  • Maintains, organizes and updates resident financial files, billing documents, reports, remittance statements and other pertinent data related to the billing and collection functions of the business office.
  • Communicates and works in cooperation with Communities leaders, Regional Directors of Operations and Sales.
  • Coordinate the billing implementation of new acquired communities.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and recommending disciplining when necessary if set goals are not met.

Educational Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Five years’ experience preferred.

  • Language Ability:
    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
